The care giver will take care of the needs of a patient at their home. The main responsibility is to assist the patient with daily tasks and needs. This includes cooking, cleaning, taking them out for a walk or to run errands, and other tasks as needed. The care giver must be able to provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting and transferring.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care of children or adults who need assistance performing routine activities and/or have medical needs
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing and toileting
- Provide personal care such as grooming (showers, shaving) and hair care (dressing, combing)
- Assist with activities related to dressing (shoes, socks)
- Assist with housekeeping by sweeping/mopping floors, dusting furniture, changing linens on beds – Cleaning bathrooms (sinks/toilets)

- Preparing and serving nutritious meals
- You must plan therapeutic diets and menus
- You need to do light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
- You have to mend clothing and linens
- Need to perform Laundry
- You must be able to take full responsibility for household in absence of householder
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- You need to assist disabled clients in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
